Starting Monday, October 23, 2023, Google Workspace for Education is changing its app access controls, restricting students from signing-in to any third party apps via Google which have not been proactively approved by school or district admins.
Unless access settings are reviewed and updated by your admins, this may prevent your students from signing-in to Prodigy Math or Prodigy English using Google.
Action Required
To ensure your students can still sign into Prodigy from October 23 via Google, please ask your admins to ensure Prodigy Game is configured as a trusted app in your school or district’s admin console by following these steps:
- Get started with the guided experience here.
- Click Continue to view the first step.
- Confirm settings for unconfigured third-party apps.
- Choose the Allow users to access third-party apps that only ask for Google sign in info option.
- Click Next.
- Confirm settings for configured third party apps.
- Review the apps and their settings in the Access (for top-level org unit) column.
- Click Add app > Auth App Name or Client ID > search for Prodigy Game.
- Confirm Prodigy Game is set to Trust.
- Review the confirmation details, then click Confirm.
