One of the many in-game social features within Prodigy is the chat function.
To ensure this feature is safe for children and students, only pre-defined sentences that have been deemed safe are able to be sent.
Users cannot send whatever they would like, they must type in a phrase they would like to send, and choose from the options available. This has been put in place for both privacy and security reasons.
No personal information or inappropriate language can be typed out and seen by any other user through the in-game chat.
There is no ability to chat live with anyone in-game or send any other form of communication such as an email or instant message.
While chats and friends lists can't be disabled, students can opt to play in "Offline" mode. While playing offline, all social elements are disabled but all education progress will still be reported to any linked Parent or Teacher Accounts.
