Data Privacy Agreements with Prodigy Education

Prodigy Education is committed to protecting student data, so teachers and parents can have complete peace of mind when using Prodigy in class or at home. Prodigy does not sell, lease, or otherwise trade for value ANY student personal information. We only collect what is absolutely necessary to provide our services, which includes a student’s first name, last name initial, state (for standards alignment purposes), and grade.  To further underscore our commitment to online safety and privacy, we have signed the 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Pledge and have received 1EdTech TrustEd App certification.

For schools and districts which require a formal agreement to use Prodigy in their classrooms, we're pleased to confirm that we are members of Access 4 Learning / Student Data Privacy Consortium and use a form of the National Data Privacy Agreement. We have also received certification from iKeepSafe®, confirming our compliance with FERPA, COPPA, and CSPC regulations.

When a state Data Privacy Agreement is signed with a district, it opens up the opportunity for other districts in the same state to easily "piggyback" on the existing agreement. This involves a simple process of signing and returning to the email address indicated in Exhibit E. By doing so, your district adopts the terms laid out in the original Agreement.
