Why do I keep receiving class list updates by email?

Why do I keep receiving emailed class lists? 

The notice system is designed to provide an updated list of student usernames and passwords whenever a student pairs themselves to your account using your class code. 

All of my students are already a part of my list, why do these updates keep coming? 

This is likely because your students are either: 

a) creating new accounts in error each time they attempt to login. 

b) continually entering your class code when they don't need to. 

Both of these issues can be solved by providing your students with a quick lesson in the proper way to login. 

What is the proper method my students should be using to login? 

Instruct your students to take the following steps: 

1. Go to Prodigy and select Play Prodigy from the top right of the page. 

2. Students should then enter their username/password and select Login.

3. On the next page that appears, instruct them to bypass the class code update page by selecting Next from the bottom right of the page. 

This not only should prevent these emails moving forward but also should ensure that your students are aware of the proper login method to prevent them from creating new accounts instead of logging into existing ones.
