Class codes are an easy way to link your students' accounts to yours when they register. Students may have asked you "what is my class code?". If you use Google Classroom to manage your student roster, please visit our support article linked here instead.
Students: If you're trying to find your class code, contact your teacher!
Clever users, please note:
Classrooms created with Clever will not use a class code. All rostering changes must be made through Clever first, then select Sync with Clever from your Prodigy Teacher Account.
What is a Class Code?
A class code is a unique set of letters and numbers linked to each classroom registered to a Prodigy Teacher Account. Class codes allow your students to link their existing accounts to your classroom when they log in!
Here's how to retrieve your class code:
After logging in to your Teacher Account, select Classrooms from the sidebar:
The class code for each class is located under the title of each class!
How to use a Class Code to link a student to your classroom:
Class codes can be entered as part of the student login process. To get your students started, follow these instructions:
1. Have your student(s) navigate to Prodigy and select Play Prodigy in the top right corner of the page.
2. Select the "Log In" button on the game's login page.
3. Have your student input their username and password. Or, if they log in via a Google or Clever account, click the corresponding button.
4. Select Math to access Prodigy Math Game.
5a. (Existing Accounts) If your student is accessing an existing account, they can input your code via the prompt pictured below by selecting Update.
After selecting Update, input your class code then select Next.
5b. (New accounts) Students with brand new accounts will see a similar screen. They simply need to input your class code and then select Next.
That's it, your student will now be linked to your class!
Once a code has been input once, there is no need to do so again as the account will already have been linked.
1. Have your student(s) navigate to Prodigy and select Play Prodigy in the top right corner of the page.
2. Select the "Log In" button on the game's login page.
3. Have your student input their username and password. Or, if they log in via a Google or Clever account, click the corresponding button.
4. Select English to access Prodigy English Game.
5. After logging in, select the settings menu.
6. Next, select the gear icon to open the options menu.
7. Select Join class.
8. Have your student(s) input your class code and then select Join.
That's it, your student will now be linked to your class!
