FAQ: Quests

What are quests?

Quests are missions that a Prodigy wizard can perform to earn rewards and progress through the storylines in the Prodigy World. They can involve:

  • Defeating a certain monster
  • Collecting a certain item
  • Going to a specific place
  • Using a collected item

How do I get to a quest?

To get started on a quest, you'll want to visit one of the following zones:

  • Firefly Forest
  • Shiverchill Mountain
  • Skywatch
  • Bonfire Spire

(Please note: Dyno Dig Oasis also contains quest but of a different type, see "old quests" below)

Each of these zones contains a "hub". A hub is a central location in the zone where you are brought when you select it on the map.

Each hub contains a quest giver. Simply speak to this person and they'll provide you with a quest to perform for them.

In each zone the quest givers are:

  • Firefly Forest - Flora
  • Shiverchill Mountain - Bok
  • Skywatch - Brocollina and Benni
  • Bonfire Spire - Slurpy

How do I complete a quest?

Each quest is a bit different but your quest giver will tell you what to do!

Most quests will require you to visit at least one location in that zone. To find it, a helpful hand will always point you in the direction you need to go. It looks like this:

Once you've completed a quest, return to the quest giver at the hub and claim your reward!

What do I get for completing a quest?

Quest rewards are all different but they might be:

  • An item
  • A spell
  • Gold
  • A new piece of equipment needed for future quests
  • etc...

Old Quests

The Prodigy world is getting a bit of a makeover. Some of our zones still feature an older type of quest. Right now these include:

  • Dyno Dig Oasis
  • Barnacle Cove

In these locations, there are still quest givers and quests to be had but they work a little differently.

Quest givers:

  • Dyno Dig Oasis - Professor Scoog
  • Barnacle Cove - Captain Eve

When you speak to the quest givers in these zones, a quest map will appear. It looks like this:

The quest map describes what you need to do to complete the next quest as well as shows you how far along you are in the quest line.

When you're ready, let the quest giver know by clicking "Yes" and you'll be brought immediately into a battle.

You won't always get the chance to collect the item or encounter the monster you need to, sometimes it'll take more than one battle to complete the quest. For more information on that, click here
